The Art of Writing
Oh, the places you will go when you take the time to sit and read or walk and listen to a book of your choosing. The act of enjoying writing sometimes begins with a love for reading. It may not have been Dr. Seuss, Katie Kazoo, Harry Potter, the Animorphs series, Anne of Green Gables, or other top-rated young fiction. A love for reading can happen at different times, and the most common act of appreciating writing in any language. Storytelling creates a nuance of understanding within the fabric of human nature and the connection to life itself. An idea on paper or in a digital document is now the beginning of sharing a story that exposes a journey. The experience, whether through a problematic character, a true story, or fan fiction, is a resounding gong that this work resonated with someone.
Writing is a way to connect. The art of adding a few letters to create syllables, a few words that make sentences, and then acronyms to shorten them is parts of writing that make it art. Sounds easy. It is not as simple as it looks to create a gripping narrative or tell a true story with the skill to captivate an audience. Language is a conduit for understanding people, whether they are a part of an audience or a group of friends. To appreciate the art of writing, you must love reading. This is partially true because music sometimes depends on lyrics to captivate an audience and encourage them to sing along. Writing can be challenging if reading is not preferred, but it is not impossible to experience a level of skill with writing.

Writing is a stylistic choice within the framework of grammar for any language. With it, the act of conveying the intended message is preserved in translation, which means the work was a waste of time. No one likes to waste time. Instant gratification of being a master at anything is an illusion. All that to say, writing takes practice. Pen to paper or incessant clicking with hours and hours of dedicated practice. Some aspects will be natural, and others will require work. The work completed may reveal a necessary shift in perspective or research ways that ideas become alive through reading other works. Art, such as beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. It is a fleeting exchange that depends on the reader and the writer, yet there has been no other time in history when technology has impacted writing like today.
